Since the length of secondary education has been reduced from 9 years to 8 and the compulsory military service requirement has been ended, there have been massive bottlenecks at universities and technical colleges since at least the fall of 2011, particularly in Bavaria. The responsible government officials have failed to introduce measures to deal with this state of affairs, and many graduates will face huge problems.
The concerns of students at universities and technical colleges form a core segment of our legal work. We have been successfully suing for college admission for over 10 years. For foreign students, we are primarily involved with college admission and gaining recognition of original school certificates.
In addition, we advise on obtaining financial assistance for higher education (German Federal Training Assistance Act, BAföG) and matters related to school examinations.
